Veteran’s Regional Advisory Committee (VRAC) Study

HUGHESVILLE, Md. – In 2008, the Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland (TCCSMD) created the Southern Maryland Veteran’s Regional Advisory Committee (VRAC) to focus on coordinating and advocating for health care services delivery to active and retired military citizens and families within the region. The committee brings together elected officials, Veterans Affairs State representatives, US Department of Veteran Affairs, Washington DC VA Medical Center leadership and key stakeholders to discuss issues and initiatives of importance to the Veteran community in the Southern Maryland Region. In 2009 the work of the members and associates of the VRAC developed a study, Veterans’ Integrated Healthcare Recommendations for Southern Maryland, reaching a regional consensus on this vitally important issue.
