Thousands Of State Jobs In Maryland Will No Longer Require Four-Year Degrees

Governor Larry Hogan shared just recently at a news conference that the state will eliminate the four-year degree requirement for thousands of state government jobs.  According to the governor, the state is starting a “first-in-the-nation” workforce development program to recruit talented professionals without a college diploma. The governor stated during the press conference that removing the barrier would assist filling government positions that were left empty during the pandemic. Governor Hogan stated that more than 300 state jobs that do not require a four-year degree are now open and advertised online.
