Regional Transportation Coordination Committee

The Regional Transportation Coordination Committee (RTCC) identifies issues and opportunities for coordinating transportation services, resources and operations in Southern Maryland. One of RTCC’s primary duties is to improve access for Senior Citizens and the disabled by coordinating support between our human services transportation providers.

RTCC also serves as a coordination clearinghouse for transportation providers and commuters. The committee supports the Southern Maryland Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan and provides a forum for the region’s transportation service providers to discuss issues and exchange ideas about specialized and community transportation. RTCC offers training opportunities for transportation providers, a forum to discuss regional transit issues, and includes the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), who reviews Section 5310 and other grants, as the Regional Coordinating Body charged with endorsing those projects derived from or included in the current Regional Coordinated Plan

The Regional Transportation Coordination Committee meetings are open to the public and occur quarterly on a Wednesday in the first month of each quarter. Regular meetings are held from 12:30pm – 2:00 pm at the offices of the Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland at 15045 Burnt Store Road in Hughesville. Meeting notices will be posted here.
