Volunteers Needed for “We All Count” Point-in-Time Homeless Survey

Join the annual “We All Count” Point-in-Time survey on Wednesday, Jan. 27th to count and provide outreach to sheltered (living in shelters and/or transitional housing) and unsheltered (living on the street, in a vehicle and/or hand-built structure) individuals in Southern Maryland.

The Point-in-Time survey will provide agencies with important data on the homeless population. This data is critical for federal and state grant applications, and potential HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing vouchers for Southern Maryland. Results can lead to the homeless population, which includes veterans, receiving housing. There are almost 1,000 individuals and families who experience homelessness annually in our region. Supported by the Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland; which serves as a forum for the resolution of region-wide issues and the attainment of regional goals.

Volunteers opportunities including conducting street outreach, assistance with donations, and providing services at various call center locations.

For more information or to register as a volunteer, contact the following agencies for more information:

  • Calvert County- Jeral Barnes 410-535-5400 ext. 463 or Teressa Beavers 410-535-0044 ext. 4
